Design Fixation: Typeface Tuesday /// Blind Debossed Type

Typeface Tuesday /// Blind Debossed Type

I'm loving the combination of the two types of text used in the print called "Haiku," shown above... designer Eli Kleppe's goal was to eliminate all ink, but to create a final product that is still legible. He used what is called blind debossing, similar to embossing, which is sometimes used on wedding invitations and high end promotional pieces. It's interesting how the shadows heighten the legibility. Head over to The Inspiration Grid to read more about his project.
