9 Of My Very Favorite Beauty Products

Let me preface this by saying that this is not a sponsored post. I really truly love these products, and I spend a pretty penny on them regularly. And those of you who are familiar with my spending habits know that I’m normally pretty frugal. So without further adieu, here are nine of my favorite beauty products:

1. MAC Cosmetics Pigment /// I use this as eyeshadow, but it can also be used on your lips along with gloss or balm. It has a subtle shimmer that I love for everyday use, and it can be layered if you’re looking for a more intense night time look. The color I use is called Naked and it’s pretty true to the color shown on their website. I bought the miniature “Sized To Go” version, which is less expensive but will probably still last quite a while. $10
2. Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer /// This concealer covers redness well, and contains salicylic acid which helps to clear up acne. It has a built in sponge tip which is pretty handy, and I find that it only requires a bit of additional finger blending. $9
3. Essie Nail Polish /// I love Essie polish in general but this color in particular, called Bachelorette Bash, is one of my favorites. It goes on smoothly and stays put longer than other brands on my finicky nails. $9
4. Rimmel Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner /// I’ve been into the cat eye trend lately, hence my first liquid liner purchase. And now I’m hooked! This one from Rimmel has a short application brush on the end, making it easier to get that perfectly lined look. It also stays on for hours. $6
5. Vichy Liftactiv Eyes /// Now that I’m well into my third decade as a human, I’ve found that I’ve started getting some fine lines around my eyes (eek!) and some serious dark circles. People used to ask me where I go to school… and now they don’t. So I’ve started using this super hydrating product from Vichy. It has a velvety feel and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. HINT: It’s available at most CVS stores so grab one of those 30% coupons they send out in the mail to save a few bucks. $46
6. The Lip Slip /// This product from Sara Happ is a miracle if you have dry lips. And it has a bit of super subtle shimmer which keeps your lips shiny and kissable. HINT: Save it for winter and use something less intense during the humid summer months… that way your lips won’t develop a resistance to it. $24
7. Revlon Spotlight Tweezers /// These tweezers are sharp and precise, and their thicker shape makes them easy to grasp. And the best part? They have an LED light so you can actually see what you’re doing! Genius. $12
8. John Frieda Root Awakening Spray /// I have long, fine, straight hair… which in the winter translates to a snarled, static-filled mess. This detangling spray does the trick. I apply it proactively after I wash my hair, and I also use it on matted hair to detangle. It feels a bit like a light leave-in conditioner, and it smells amazing too. $25
9. The Lip Scrub /// Another Sara Happ product, this one is a delicious black velvet cherry flavored sugar scrub. It exfoliates well and simultaneously moisturizes, making it the perfect choice for those of us with horribly dry lips. $24
