A Weekend on Block Island

A foggy morning in the Great Salt Pond.
Spent ten hours at a restaurant called The Oar waiting out
the tropical storm… a double rainbow was our reward.

What a dive!

Next, a little “brosé” on the boat for the boys.
A dinghy ride around the harbor at sunset.
Cornhole at The Oar. Yes, we spent a lot of time there.
My patriotic manicure.
A quintessential summer photo.

We went to Block Island, off the coast of Rhode Island, for the 4th of July weekend and I wanted to share a few highlights with you. Have you guys ever been? There’s something very unique about it – they have some old school traditions for the holiday weekend including a steak fry at the firehouse and a quaint little parade with homemade floats. Aside from the tropical storm on the 4th, the weather was gorgeous… so we spent most of the time walking around town and hanging out on the boat. My favorite part was definitely cornhole at The Oar… I make so many cornhole boards that it’s fun to actually play once in a while!

All photos by me.
