{Typeface Tuesday} New York Numbers

New Yorker Nick DiLallo is capturing his city in a different way – through numbers. I’ve talked about numerical typography before, but I thought this was particularly fascinating because he shares all of his new content in real time via Instagram (so it almost feels like you’re traveling around the city with him).

There’s a feeling of historical significance in each of these images… the 305 above looks like it’s been around since the early 1900’s, doesn’t it? It’s interesting how the shape of a couple of numbers can remind you of specific decade – proof that typography really is important!
