Last week I had the pleasure of visiting southern California for a wedding (I’ll be posting those photos next week during Design Fixation’s 2nd annual Wedding Week). Above are a few of my favorite photos from the trip.
The first one is a view from the water’s edge in Venice Beach. Then we rented bikes and took the “bike highway” down to the other side of the beach where we ran across some awesome skateboarders. Another day we went to a family party where there was an orange tree in the backyard with the most delicious oranges you’ve ever tasted. My mouth is watering as I type this. Next was a pretty hyacinth bush in that same backyard. And last is me holding a parrot named Einstein in the streets of Abbot Kinney (a hipster’s paradise near Venice Beach).
All in all, a pretty fabulous trip. And in case you’re wondering, the only famous person we saw was U.S. Representative Barney Frank. In Boston.
