The ocean is my frenemy. I love its beauty and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. But at the same time, its power terrifies me. When I’m on a boat, the further away from shore I get the more my pulse races. I think that’s why I’m drawn to art that uses water as its muse, and I even photograph water in much of my art.
