Design Fixation: Snail Mail

Snail Mail

Isn't there something so romantic about mail? And stamps? And calligraphy? My mom just sent me a surprise gift in the mail for no particular reason... what a happy thing to come home to! And yesterday, I found to a postcard from my best friend - straight from halfway across the country. Here is some inspiration of the USPS variety:

Vintage stamps beautify these wedding
invitations, found at Naturally Nina.

A band's website, via {frolic!}.

The Mail Me Something Book. Art House Coop.

Love this calligraphy, found over at Wedding Wire.

What was the last piece of mail you received? And I'm not talking about junk mail here people, I'm talking about real mail. Hey also, be sure to stop by tomorrow for "So You Think You Can Sew."

  1. Yes, yes, and yes!
Last mail was from my mom as well, a package full of treats. She scribbled some notes on the box itself in the inside, and I couldn't bear to throw it away. So I cut that part out and am storing it safely ^^

  2. I'm so glad you share my love for mail!

I wouldn't be able to throw something like that away either....

  3. There's nothing better than coming home and finding a letter or gift in the mail...and not bills!! It seems like people are coming back to sending letters which is so nice - I love receiving mail! All these images are so great btw!

  4. SO true... and I've been getting a lot of junk mail lately, too. Such a waste of paper!
